Adorra Studio

Games you can play right now, in the tab you already have open.

Adorra Studio is one person building games that run without a download, a launcher, or an account. Open a link and you are already playing.

What I have shipped

One project so far, and it is a real one. It runs in a browser on desktop and phone, with no install step in the way.

Two shield walls colliding beside a desert fort, with damage numbers rising over the fighters.

The Great Warlords

Playable now

A medieval battlefield game about commanding a warband instead of swinging a sword alone. You pick a faction, read the field, and call the order that decides whether your line holds or breaks.

  • 10factions
  • 8warbands per match
  • 20fighters per band
  • 4weather states
  • Orders, not clicksCharge, hold, volley and fall back. Knowing when is the whole game.
  • Weather that mattersA storm cuts how far you can see, so it can hide a whole warband.
  • Desktop and phoneKeyboard on one, a stick and buttons on the other. Both first class.
  • Play with friendsBuild a custom war, send a link, and stay in the lobby between rounds.
A Viking warband holding formation beside a river, with an enemy fort on the far bank. A warband crossing open desert toward a distant walled city. Fighters falling in a desert sandstorm as red damage numbers rise above them.
About

One person, start to finish

The design, the code, the art, the balancing, and the bug I introduced last Tuesday are all mine.

Adorra Studio is a solo operation. There is no team to hand things off to, which means every choice in a game has a reason behind it, even the ones that turned out wrong.

I build for the browser on purpose. A game that needs an install loses most of the people who were curious about it, and I would rather someone try a thing in twenty seconds than think about it for a week and never open it.

I care about the parts players never see spelled out. Whether the controls feel right on a phone. Whether the tutorial ends before it gets boring. Whether the game still runs when the network drops halfway through a match.

Say hello

Publishers, portals, and players are all welcome. If you want to talk about putting a game on your platform or you just found a bug worth reporting, email works best.
